La Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular de Cuba aprobó este miércoles la reelección de Miguel Díaz-Canel a la Presidencia de la República, así como también la ratificación de Salvador Valdés Mesa en la Vicepresidencia.
La designación de Díaz-Canel se hizo tras la votación de los 462 diputados electos por la población y que integran el Parlamento, que este mismo miércoles realizaron la Asamblea Constitutiva del legislativo y escogieron la directiva de ese organismo en el Palacio de Convenciones de La Habana.
Alina Balseiro Gutiérrez, presidenta del Consejo Electoral Nacional (CEN), informó que tras el escrutinio, Díaz-Canel recibió 459 votos a favor de su reelección, de un total de 460 boletas válidas, para un 97,66 %.
Igualmente, el diputado y miembro del Buró Político del Partido, Salvador Valdés Mesa, fue reelecto con 439 votos a favor, para un 93,4 %.
La Asamblea Nacional, que contó con la asistencia del expresidente, diputado y general de Ejército, Raúl Castro Ruz, también reeligió este mismo miércoles como su presidente a Esteban Lazo Hernández; como vicepresidenta a Ana María Mari Machado; y como secretario a Homero Acosta Álvarez, quienes integran el Consejo de Estado, instancia que igualmente fue definida a través del voto del legislativo.
Díaz-Canel fue propuesto por la Comisión de Candidaturas de la Asamblea. Su presidenta, Consuelo Baeza Martín, señaló que el mandatario, que está a cargo de la Presidencia de Cuba desde 2018, “se destaca por su trabajo diario y cercanía con las masas” y por haber “dirigido el país durante años muy difíciles”.
“En medio del recrudecimiento del bloqueo”, impuesto por EE.UU., ha promovido “el concepto de resistencia creativa en todos los sectores de la vida económica y científica”, agregó la parlamentaria.
Tras la elección, Díaz-Canel propuso a los integrantes de la Asamblea Nacional ratificar como primer ministro a Manuel Marrero Cruz, por su destacado trabajo frente a la pandemia del covid-19, el bloqueo contra la isla, la interacción con la población y la atención de las políticas sociales.
De igual forma, pidió ratificar a los vice primeros ministros: Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, Inés María Chapman, Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, Alejandro Miguel Gil Fernández y Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella. Las propuestas del mandatario fueron aprobadas por la amplia mayoría del Legislativo.
Seis nuevos ministros y 20 ratificados
Díaz-Canel propuso a seis nuevos ministros que también fueron aprobados por el Parlamento. En el Instituto de Información y Comunicación Social estará Alfonso Noya Martínez; en la cartera de Educación, Naima Trujillo Barreto; como titular de Finanzas y Precio, Vladimir Regueiro Ale; en el despacho de Educación Superior, Walter Baluja García; en la oficina Nacional de Ordenamiento Urbano y Territorial, Raúl Acosta Gregorich; y en Comercio Exterior e Inversión Extranjera, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz.
Además, el presidente cubano solicitó ratificar a otros 20 ministros que también aprobó el Legislativo. José Amado Ricardo Guerra seguirá como secretario del Consejo de Ministros; Lázaro Alberto Álvarez Casas, en el despacho del Interior; Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, en Relaciones Exteriores; René Mesa Villafaña, en el Ministerio de la Construcción; y Elba Rosa Pérez Montoya, en Tecnología y Medio Ambiente.
De igual forma, seguirá a cargo Oscar Manuel Silvera Martínez en el Ministerio de Justicia; Alpidio Alonso Grau en Cultura; Mayra Arevich Marín en Comunicaciones; José Ángel Portal Miranda en Salud Pública; Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, en Transporte; Marta Elena Feitó Cabrera, en la cartera de Trabajo y Seguridad Social; Ydael Jesús Pérez Brito, en Agricultura; y Juan Carlos García Granda, en el despacho de Turismo.
Los demás ministros ratificados son Joaquín Alonso Vázquez, en el Banco Central de Cuba; Álvaro López Miera en el Ministerio de las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias; Vicente de la O Levy en Energía y Minas; Betsy Díaz Velázquez en Comercio Interior; Manuel Sobrino Martínez en Industria Alimentaria; Osvaldo Vento en el Instituto Nacional de Deportes, Educación Física y Recreación; y Antonio Rodríguez en el Instituto Nacional de Recursos Hidráulicos.
