El país donde haga el pago se encargará de distribuir el importe con el resto de países de tránsito.
El coordinador de la Unidad Técnica de Ferrocarriles, Augusto Chassagnez, explicó los avances en la consolidación del emprendimiento de integración regional alentado por Bolivia y que unirá los océanos Atlántico y Pacífico desde puertos de Brasil hasta puertos peruanos, pasando por territorio boliviano.
“Estamos en vísperas de crear la Cámara de Compensación de Fletes, para que funcione dándole la facilidad al que utilice el corredor de utilizar el sistema y eliminar toda la burocracia, se hace un único trámite en origen o destino y el importador y exportador irá a definir donde pagará sus aranceles y el país que reciba los recursos se encargará de trasmitir los importantes ya sea tasas de operación, tasa de mantenimiento, a los demás países por el cual atraviesa esa carga”, explicó en Bolivia Tv.
Actualmente, con una inversión de más de Bs 18 millones, están en marcha estudios de diseño técnico de preinversión de los tramos férreos Bulo Bulo – Puerto Villarroel e Ivirgarzama – Villa Tunari, tramos I y II, que forman parte del Corredor Bioceánico Ferroviario.
Los tramos terminarán de unir y consolidar el proyecto en la parte boliviana. Chassagnez explicó que los estudios deben estar concluidos hasta fin de año, para luego empezar con las gestiones de financiamiento y construcción de los tramos faltantes.
Bolivia fue elegida para la coordinación del emprendimiento de integración regional, que fue retomado por el gobierno del presidente Luis Arce después del golpe de Estado de 2019. Con Brasil existen importantes avances y se espera la solución de la crisis en Perú para avanzar.
Según datos oficiales, el Corredor Ferroviario Bioceánico de Integración permitirá reducir costos y tiempo en el transporte de carga de internacional, ya que a través de éste Bolivia accederá a puertos de los océanos Pacífico y Atlántico de manera directa.
En julio de 2022, el ministro de Obras Públicas, Servicios y Vivienda, Édgar Montaño, informó que el Gobierno nacional invertirá más de Bs 3.200 millones hasta el 2025 para la construcción del Corredor Ferroviario Bioceánico de Integración.
