El presidente Luis Arce recordó este lunes la Masacre en Villa Tunari, trópico de Cochabamba, ocurrida en 1988 y que cobró la vida de 11 agricultores.
“(Allí) murieron 11 hermanos campesinos que defendían nuestra soberanía, ante la injerencia estadounidense”, escribió el mandatario en sus redes sociales.
El 27 de junio de 1988, en esa zona central del país, las fuerzas antidroga con apoyo de la DEA norteamericana y la Agencia Central de Inteligencia arremetieron de manera armada por aire y tierra contra la población.
“La Masacre de Villa Tunari, hace 34 años, mostró el verdadero rostro perverso de la DEA, que comandó la violenta y cobarde represión armada en el trópico”, indicó el mandatario.
