Ante rumores de un supuesto paro programado en la Planta de Amoniaco y Urea (PAU), publicado por algunos medios de comunicación, el vicepresidente nacional de Operaciones de Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), Omar Alarcón, desmintió tal versión y garantizó la operatividad productiva de la empresa estatal, que en septiembre de 2021 reinició operaciones.
“En mi calidad de vicepresidente nacional de Operaciones quiero ratificar categóricamente que la Planta de Amoniaco y Urea se encuentra operativa, produciendo, transportando y comercializando urea (…). Estamos despachando alrededor de 40 camiones de urea, haciendo un promedio de 1.000 toneladas día de urea en la región”, dijo la autoridad en conferencia de prensa.
Asimismo, resaltó que, como YPFB y Vicepresidencia de Operaciones, se trabaja arduamente en el tema de bioseguridad para minimizar el impacto de la cuarta ola del COVID-19 para los trabajadores de la estatal petrolera.
“Queremos asegurar, y vamos a asegurar, la continuidad operativa de todas las unidades productivas, para garantizar a la población el suministro continuo de todos los productos de YPFB”, ponderó Alarcón.
En pasados días, la gerente de Productos Derivados e Industrializados de YPFB, Gabriela Delgadillo, informó que, desde el reinicio de operaciones de la PAU, en Bulo Bulo – Cochabamba, las ventas del fertilizante alcanzaron los $us 51,60 millones en tres meses, periodo en el que se produjo 86.509 toneladas métricas (TM) de urea.
En esa línea, proyectó que los ingresos estimados por la venta de urea en los mercados interno y externo para la gestión 2022 alcanzarán los $us 290 millones.
En ese contexto, para la presente gestión se tiene planificado que la PAU opere a una tasa promedio del 85%, con lo cual se garantiza una producción aproximada de 590.000 TM de urea.
De ese volumen, cerca del 8% está destinado a satisfacer la demanda del mercado interno (46.000 toneladas) y los excedentes (544.000 toneladas) serán destinados a mercados de exportación como Brasil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay y Perú.
