La Universidad Mayor de San Simón llegó de visita al trópico de Cochabamba con el fin de coordinar con los cinco municipios y las federaciones el trabajo de apoyo que puede prestar a universidad al sector productivo con temas investigativos, implementación de nuevas tecnologías, estudio y mejoramiento de suelos, riego, implementación de semillas mejoradas, agropecuaria productiva y temas de catastro, entre otros, informó el coordinador de la UMSS Rolando Reinoso.
El funcionario indicó que se busca firmar un convenio que beneficie a ambos, los municipios y federaciones pueden recibir apoyo técnico, tecnológico y científico y los estudiantes tesistas pueden hacer sus investigaciones en la región del trópico o probar e implementar nuevas tecnologías o hacer prácticas profesionales.
La universidad cuenta con 16 facultades que pueden a poyar a los municipios y federaciones en todos los ámbitos del conocimiento.
