El diputado del Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS), Héctor Arce, expresó su decepción por la decisión de la Fiscalía de cerrar el caso por corrupción en la Administradora Boliviana de Carreteras (ABC). Con lágrimas en los ojos, acusó al Gobierno de manipular la justicia para beneficiar a los implicados.
«Si denunciar un hecho de corrupción implica que demos la vida, lo haremos; si implica que nos persigan y amenacen, lo haremos. No nos van a intimidar, el pueblo boliviano nos paga por hacer este trabajo», declaró el legislador.
Además, Arce recalca su frustración no solo por la determinación judicial sobre el caso de la ABC, sino también por todo el sistema estatal al que calificó como corrupto y manipulador del Ministerio Público y del Órgano Judicial a su conveniencia.
También denunció recibir amenazas todos los días desde que dio a conocer distintos hechos irregulares en la gestión gubernamental. Actualmente tiene más de 20 denuncias penales paralizadas e incluso desestimadas.
«Como diputado nacional siento vergüenza por todos estos hechos abominables, vergonzosos y asquerosos; pero vamos a seguir luchando y haciendo nuestro trabajo», expresó.

El pasado lunes, la Fiscalía de Chuquisaca ratificó el sobreseimiento del caso ABC. Esto favoreció a 12 implicados acusados de pagar y recibir coimas por al menos 18 millones de bolivianos para la construcción de la doble vía Sucre-Yamparáez. Ante esta determinación, Arce anticipó que presentaría un amparo constitucional para reabrir el caso, ya que considera que un asunto tan grave como este no puede quedar impune.
